The Knit Wits
Mondays at 6:30 p.m.
(Except for the first Monday of the month, when the Tuftonboro Association uses the meeting room.) Whether you're an experienced knitter or a complete novice, this program's for you. Bring an unfinished project or start something new! Yarn and needles and plenty of good-natured instruction and support are provided.
The Happy Hookers
Will Meet Again on Thursdays in the Fall!
This extremely talented group of rug (and wall hanging and stair runner) hookers meets weekly except during the summer months to practice their art and craft. Open to new members. Bring your own supplies. Meetings resume on September 9th, 2010.
Book & Author Luncheons
Save the 4th Saturday, January through April
Sometimes seasonal patrons ask us, "What do you do in the winter?" Well, this is just ONE of the answers! From January through May, on the fourth Saturday of each month, we invite a New Hampshire or regional author to join us for a program focusing on his/her work. We include both fiction and non-fiction writers, in genres we know our patrons will enjoy, and we ask the authors to talk about their books and their lives, and to interact with the audience for questions and discussion. Books for sale and signing are available after the program, and we offer a delicious, light lunch catered by a local Tuftonboro eatery.
UFO Consults
(That's Un-Finished Objects!)
Have a sewing/knitting/quilting project that you just can't seem to finish? Need help with casting on or piecing or setting a sleeve? Bring your unfinished needle work to TFL on one of Lindalee's days, and you'll benefit from her expert advice and hands-on experience. She's even been known to bring in her own sewing machine! All free, of course, but dependent on how busy she is, so please call ahead to let her know when you need UFO help -- 569-4256.
