Public Access Computer and WiFi Policies & Procedures
  1. All public access computer (PAC) users must be registered Library patrons in good standing, and must sign the attached contract agreeing to follow the Library's policies for use of the public access computers. PAC users must check in at the circulation desk before accessing the library's computers.
  2. No bookmarking web pages. No saving or downloading files to the hard drives. PAC users may not bring disks in, but can purchase them at the circulation desk, and keep them at the Library for future use. Disks taken out of the building may not be reused on the Library computers.
  3. PAC users are responsible for any personal orders placed with Internet vendors. The Library is not responsible for any such payments or purchases.
  4. The Library does not offer electronic mail accounts.
  5. Black and white costs $.15/page. Color prints are $.25 page. Paper is available at the circulation desk. * *Additional copies must be made on the photocopy machine, also at $.15/page
  6. PAC users must observe all copyright laws. No one may copy any computer program, documentation, or other material unless it is in the public domain.
  7. PAC users must respect the policies, rights and conventions of all organizations and individuals who use the Internet, must not send mass unsolicited mailings (spam), and must not access any systems for which access has not been authorized.
  8. PAC users who abuse services or equipment will find their access terminated immediately. PAC users will be held responsible for any damage to the equipment caused by misuse. Malicious damage to equipment will result in suspension of library privileges and/or prosecution on criminal charges.
*Violation of the regulations stated above is unethical and may constitute a criminal offense. Use of library computers or computers/laptops brought in may not be used for illegal activities, commercial gain, or to access offensive or sexually explicit materials. If there are violations, access privileges may be revoked and/or appropriate legal action may be taken.*
